1) Amrita Singh Jewelry is known for "affordable luxury", bringing every woman something unique and luxurious in the jewelry she wears. Tell us more about your mission. What inspired you to start this business?
I started my business in 2003, with the goal of introducing Indian Inspired jewelry to mainstream USA.I wanted to create a look without being too ethnic, something for the global eclectic woman without breaking the bank.
2) Jewelry gives women that feminine touch, and that confident and creative flair. How do you seek to empower women through your pieces?
If there is one word that I could use to express my jewelry style, that would be “Statement”. Even in our most simplistic designs we make sure to add details / texture to enhance each piece. The beauty is in the details.
3) What are your top 3 tips for finding the right jewelry for an outfit or an occasion?
1. Stay in your comfort zone! The best accessory you have on is the one that suits you! So if you comfortable in what you wear, that confidence will show.
2. Mix high/ low jewels.You can always mix your fine jewelry with fashion jewelry. It does not need to be one or the other, it’s all about complimenting what you have on.
3. Have fun while accessorizing.Weather it’s a black tie formal event or a day at the beach, have fun while accessorizing. Be a leader, not a follower. Set the trend!
4) From hoop earrings to summer accessories, what are some upcoming jewelry trends you have seen for summer 2021?
Hoops are always a timeless classic, you can never have enough.
This summer, I looking at mixed metals.
Mixing gold, silver and even rose tone metals for a unified look.
I also love long station necks, great for layering and also use as sunglass / mask chains.
5) As the platform for women dreamers, what is your next big dream?
I want to work with young women entrepreneurs / influencers as a mentor and learn from their point of view as well as share my experience. When I started my business in 2003, there was no social media. Today its hard to imagine a world without it. I want to find ways of connecting with other like minded women thru social media and other platforms snd explore opportunities to collaborate.
